

Annie Marie McGee, 71, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on April 30, 2012 at Orange Park Medical Center after a fall. Marie was born October 19, 1940 in Gainesville, FL to Lonnie Woodrow Terrell, Sr., and Fannie Mae Terrell.
She attended Robert E. Lee High School class of 1958 and married Donald Wayne McGee on June 8, 1959 at Collins Rd Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. As a military spouse, she made many lifelong friends around the world.
After suffering heart failure at the age of 48, Marie received the loving gift of a donated heart and was one of the longest living heart transplant survivors in the U.S., over 22 years.She settled home in Jacksonville with family and friends in 2000.
Marie is predeceased by her husband Chief Master Sergeant Donald Wayne McGee, Sr. (former Senior Enlisted Advisor, 384 ARW, McConnell AFB), whom she dearly loved.
She is survived by her mother Fannie Mae Terrell of Jacksonville FL, daughter Deborah Ann Armstrong of Jacksonville, son Donald Wayne McGee Jr. of Burke VA, twin sons Michael and Marty McGee of Wichita KS, sister Faye Taylor, brothers Jimmie, Lonnie, Leslie Wayne, and Tyrone Terrell, eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was a loving, giving and beautiful person who touched the lives of so many. Her love made everyone who knew her happy. Marie will be missed dearly and remembered always.
Family will receive friends from 10-11am Monday, May 7, 2012 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.
