Armida A. Bargas

Armida A. (Conejo) Bargas, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 25, 2026. She was born January 1, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Juan and Conception (Ramirez) Conejo.

Armida was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a graduate of East High School, with the class of 1953. Armida was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Billy Bargas; her grandson, Aaron Bargas; her siblings, Peter, Santos, Ancira, and Eugenia; along with her son-in-law, Robert Ledesma.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 72 years, Joe Bargas; her children, Anthony "Tony" (Veronica) Bargas, Cindy Ledesma, Susan Rodgers, Jesse Bargas, and Regina (Doug) Jones; her siblings, Eleanor Chavez, Linda Alvarez, Sylvia Ornelas, Yolanda Serratos, Mary Unpingco, Virginia Soto, and Erlinda Bueno; along with 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Come & Go Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026; Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, BOTH at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 North Amidon Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67204. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Love, Wichita.
