Watson, Arverna Christine, 80, passed from this life and into God’s loving arms on November 7, 2013. She was born to Walter and Pearl Watson February 3, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Arverna was a graduate of North High School. Arverna worked as a bookkeeper for Steffen’s Dairy prior to being a full time home maker and mother. She later returned to work at Wal-Mart, where she retired in 2004. She enjoyed all college and professional sports and traveling with family. She lived to attend her grandchildren’s sports and school events. Arverna enjoyed practical jokes on and with dear family members and close friends. Arverna is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Winfred Eugene Watson. She is survived by sons, Steven (Jackie) of Wichita KS, Kenneth (James) of Raleigh NC and Michael (Marci) of Wichita KS. Loving grandchildren, Jena, Kalin, Madeline, Nathan and Kai. Funeral service is 1:00 PM Monday, November 11 at Resthaven Mortuary with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
