Asae "Marty" (Sakemi) McCafferty, age 89, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Marty was born August 5, 1934, in Fukuoka, Japan to Natsue Nakayama and Sakuji Sakemi.

Marty is survived by her sons Roger McCafferty (Elaine Corser-McCafferty) and Rick McCafferty (Jodi); grandchildren Michael McCafferty, Rachel Kaijage (Jackson), Melissa Brown (Deontaye), Cydney McCafferty, Parker McCafferty, and Paxton McCafferty; and great grandchildren Daniel, Kingston, Elisia, Mya, Amani, and Violet.

Marty was preceded in death by her husband Albert R. McCafferty; father Sakuji Sakemi; mother Natsue Nakayama; and sisters Natsue Sakemi, Kimie Morishita, and Tatsue Sakemi-Tokushige.

Private family services will be held.
