Ba Thi Phan

Ba Thi Phan passed on September 24, 2026, at the age of 88 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on December 19, 1937 to Dat Van Phan and Cu Thi Bui in An Lac, Vietnam.

Ba married Trinh Minh Thach (Paul) in 1966 and later welcomed Jennifer Phan in 1967. Ba and her family were refugees and migrated to the United States in 1986.

She became janitor at Newman University over 30 years and retired in 2011.

Ba loved to garden and enjoyed company of dog Blondie. She was passionate about cooking her special dishes and having friends and family come over to enjoy her meals.

She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer Minh Nguyet Phan and adopted daughter Mimi Huynh; one sister Le Thi My Ut; two step-children and spouses; three step-grandchildren and spouses; two step-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
