Barbara loved quilting and sewing. She was a talented quilter, sewing dozens of quilts throughout the years; her talent was reflected in each and every amazing quilt she made.
Her two sons were extremely important to her. She was nurturing, loving and helped shape them into the men they are today. Barbara had a very close relationship with her brothers, with one living in town whom she saw frequently.
She loved her grandchildren. Reading to them when they were little was something she loved sharing with each of them. It developed a special bond with each of them and as they got older, she still felt that closeness they shared with her as children.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Jacques, her husband of 49 years.
She is survived by her two sons: Jonathan (Desiree) Blackman and Thomas Blackman and Erin; brothers: Jim (Allison) Moreland and Richard Moreland; and her grandchildren: Jonathan Jr., Wylee, Avery, and Lily Blackman.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends making a donation to the organization that Barbara supported: Corgi Connection of Kansas Rescue, https://www.corgiconnection.com.
She loved Corgi's and raised 4 corgis of her own for over 30 years.
