To: The Byrd Family
From: Niece Diana Lynn Byrd
There comes a time in everyone's life when reality sets in,
And the arts of real life and real feelings begin.
And to lose a beloved one becomes a surprise,
As we are left with tears of sadness in our eyes.
We pray someday this will all be explained,
Although we know the world will never be the same,
Because that special person brought love and joy to your life,
Now to keep on going is a true sacrifice.
Now spending time alone, thinking of the past,
Knowing those special memories will always last,
To know you can smile again, remembering the good times,
And those special moments together will always be in mind.
Those special memories, shared, can never be taken away,
They will make you stronger as each day passes away,
Just keep your hand in God's hand, and He will see you through,
And put your trust in Him and remember He loves you.
No one knows what the future holds, but the good Lord up above,
And to all His children, He will spread His love,
He will watch over our beloved ones, as He calls them home.
Because with Him is where they truly belong.
Doing His will, because mistakes He makes none,
Calling our beloved ones home, one by one,
And in the end, we will all in heaven, our new home,
But remember, for now, Byrd Family You're Not Alone.

The enduring relationship between a pastor and a young man who was a stranger and became best friend.
My biological father deceased when I was fifteen year old, three years later, I encountered a man who would give me a second chance to experience the joy and present of a father. That man was DR. Benny h Byrd who extended the hand of a fatherhood to an eighteen year old young man of a looking for love and a relationship and a relationship of a father. From that day forward , I became son and he became pops Our journey began and would last a lifetime and beyond. not only did I gain a father, but also the gift of God provided a two for one in this scenario. you get pops, you also get mother Byrd, the angel and patriarch of the family.
Pops I want to thank you for your compassion, leadership and spiritual guiding and all the fatherly effort you instilled in me. all that we shared on every level will not be in vein, for you have left a strong foundation that will stand the test of time. pops enjoy the fruits of your labor, This is not good by, I will continue the journey and hope to see you on the other side pops

Rev. Byrd has been my friend for over 50yrs. He has been a Pastor that lived the life he taught all of us to live. I am a better person because he was a part of my life and I'm going to miss his direction but he left for all of us good words and wisdom to live by. A great soldier has gone for his reward, well earned. Gonna miss my friend but I'm satisfied because I have good memories. RIP Rev.

Dr. Benny H Byrd, my pastor, friend , mentor and father figure.
I have known my friend for forty four years and what a friend he was, there haven't been a day go by that we didn't call and talk on the phone. My home went silent Saturday after noon only to awake with the news of my friend crossing over to the land of milk and honey. I know of no one who have labored more for the lord then my pastor Dr. B.H Byrd and he will be greatly missed by many.
My friend this is not good by, this is I will one day see you on the other side, until then I will continue to praise and lift up the lord.

My pastor, Dr. Bennie Byrd, will be missed an awful lot. We have had great fellowships well over 40 years and he was a man of great wisdom. My mom,Lady Byrd, was always there by his side and adopted me as her son. My pastor adopted my wife as his daughter when our pastor,Rev. Leroy Holmes past, years ago.
Please remember family that you are always loved by us and are in our prayers. We do believe my pastor is Resting In The Arms of Jesus. Rev. William & First Lady Green
