Berniece “Bernie” M. Duckett, age 92, passed away February 2, 2013. Bernie was born May 28, 1920 in Altus, Oklahoma. She moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1942 and lived there until she moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 2008. Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan, her sons Bill Duckett and Donald Duckett, and her five sisters. She is survived by sons Robert J. Duckett (Marilynn) of Blue Springs, Missouri, Dan I. Duckett (Jackie) of Overland Park, Kansas, J. Mike Duckett (Cindy) of Wichita, Kansas; daughters-in-law Helen Duckett and Val Duckett, both of Wichita, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.A memorial has been established with Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St N., Wichita, Kansas 67203. Visitation will be at Resthaven from 10 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, February 6, with a graveside service following the visitation.
