Bertha worked many years at Cessna Aircraft where she was an sheet metal assembler. During her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, planting her rose gardens, but most importantly spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Gertrude; her husbands, Robert Pierce and Carl Hayes; along with her 9 siblings.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Jo (Leroy) Wolke, June Hilger, Robert (Patty) Pierce, and John (Sandee) Pierce; her brother, Raymond Weder; along with her 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Gospels, Wichita. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service.
