Steele, Sr., Berwyn Gene “Stainless”, 75, retired Navy ordnance mechanic technician passed away April 4, 2012. He was a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve and a Korean and Viet Nam veteran. Preceded in death by brother Verle Steele and sister Charlene Warren. His survivors are wife D. “Jeanie” Steele; son Berwyn G. Steele, Jr. of Wichita; daughters Theresa Eisen of Hesperia, CA, Margie (Brian) Varney of Klamath Falls, OR; sisters sue (Robert) Wagher, Jana (Bill) Strotz all of Wichita; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Viewing is Tuesday 12 to 8 pm at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 10:30 am Wednesday, April 11 at 47th St. Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project.
