Betty was a homemaker for most of her life. During her free time, she enjoyed being in the outdoors, gardening and volunteering at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, for the past 50 years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Clyde Newberry; her brothers, Ken, Johnie, and Carl Johnston; and her granddaughter, Katrina Nivens.
She is survived by: her children, Joe (Sheryl) Newberry and Sandra (Doug) Kunsman; her brother, Robert Johnston; her granddaughters, Julianne Newberry, Jennifer (Drew) Rose, Melanie (Paul) Holman; along with 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
