

Argumedo, B. Jean (Cavender), 80, retired Proposal Manager for Boeing Military Airplane Company died Monday, May 11, 2015. Born March 25, 1935 in Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by parents Gilbert and Ellen Faye (Montanye) Cavender, and former husbands Laurence D. Terry and Paul R. Wittsell. Survivors include husband, USAF LtCol (Ret) Bobby J. Argumedo, married May 29, 1982 in Wichita, KS; children, Sherrie Kenney-Adolf (Mark) of Phoenix, AZ, Randy Wittsell, Clyde (Belinda) Wittsell, John (Kim) Wittsell, Richard (Lydia) Wittsell, and Mark Wittsell all of Wichita, Russell Wittsell of Folsom, CA; stepchildren, Dana McMurchy (Pat) of Tulsa, OK, Marta Argumedo-Priore (Steve) of San Antonio, TX, and Michael Argumedo of Kiev, Ukraine; 8 grandchildren, 1 step grandson and 11 great grandchildren; sister, Pat Havens of Phoenix, AZ. She worked her way up through the administrative ranks at Cessna, Lear Jet and Boeing from clerk to secretary, to executive secretary, to administrative assistant, to change coordinator, to administrator to proposal manager. She was an avid Scouter with the BSofA during her sons’ youth, serving in many capacities within the Ninnescah District in the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Explorer Programs, finally becoming District Commissioner. She received the Quivira Council Silver Beaver Award among numerous other achievements in the Scouting program. She became an avid Shocker Basketball fan, attending all their home games. She was a very strong Christian lady, leading her husband and others to Christ. She operated in her spiritual gifts of administration and prophecy. She was a champion of the underdog and always an encouragement to others while never prideful. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, May 14 at Resthaven Mortuary with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be sent to Boy Scouts of America.
