Betty Coon, 83, passed away on January 11, 2019. She was born in Muskogee, OK to parents, Richard and Julia Brown. Betty enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a member of a bridge group and loved cats. Betty is preceded by husband, Charles; daughter, Lisa Coon McPhee; parents; sisters, Sally Hatch and Barbara Antezana. She is survived by sons, Ed (Louise) Coon, Jr., Steve (Rose) Coon; son-in-law, Jamie (Sandy) McPhee; brothers, Dan and Donald Brown; grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Grieco, Alex McPhee, Kelsey (John Uehling) Coon, Leah (Aaron) Taveras and Joel Coon; great grandchildren, Liam and Isla Grieco. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be given to a Pet Shelter of Your Choice or Ed Coon Scholarship Fund, c/o WSU Foundation.
