

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Betty Jane Demuth, who left this world peacefully on September 2, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on December 5,1936 in the Township of Johnstown, Wisconsin, Betty was the youngest daughter of Otto and Annie Lammert. She has reunited with her husband Dennis Demuth, her son Corey and her siblings Irene, Alvin, Vernon, Melvin, Donny, Walter, Bill and Otto .
Betty’s 89 years of life were a testament to love, resilience and warmth. She married Dennis Demuth on July 22,1955. Betty’s legacy will live on through her children Denise Edwards, Wendy Demuth, Craig Demuth, Gery Demuth and Perry Demuth. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 17-great-grandchildren.
Betty was celebrated for her remarkable cooking and baking skills. She had the gift of generosity and loved to make others feel loved through her culinary delights and is especially remembered for her cakes and canned goods from the garden. Birthdays and Christmases were legendary among her children and friends and she was often sought after for her baking talents.
She had a profound love of flowers and crafting of many types. Betty’s kindness extended beyond her family. Summer backyard parties were eagerly anticipated gatherings for family and close friends.
A service to honor Betty’s life will be held on October 3, 2026 at 3 pm at Resthaven Cemetery Rose Garden located at 11800 West Highway 54 Wichita, KS 67209. Following the service a time of sharing and a meal will be shared at the Clearwater Community/Senior Center 931 E Janet Avenue Clearwater, KS.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society-Breast Cancer Fund in Betty’s memory a Breast Cancer Survivor, herself; and The Alzheimer’s Association.
Betty Jane Demuth leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
