She was born on January 23, 1930 in Hillsboro, KS to George and Mary Klaassen.
Betty married Andrew J. Parks, Jr. from Marshall on August 1, 1953. Andrew preceded her in death in 2006.
Betty is survived by her children and spouses, Susan (JR) Moore, Denver, CO; Andrew J. (Sue) Parks, Elk Grove, CA; Kenneth (Shelia) Parks, Wichita, KS; Daniel (Shawna) Parks, Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou (Lewis) Hiebert; three brothers, James (Betty) Klaassen, Nick (Neva) Klaassen and Harold (Janis) Klaassen; one sister-in-law, Virginia Klaassen.
She was preceded in death by brother, George Klaassen.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Wichita Bible Church.
A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley.
Mrs. Parks will be buried next to her husband, Andrew, in the Canaan Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas.
