

Patrick, Betty Evelyn (Boots), 93, of Wichita passed away peacefully on Thurs. Jan. 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by family in Wichita. She was born Betty Evelyn Miller on April 19, 1923 in Winfield, Kansas, to Clarence Herman Miller and Anna Laura Carton. She was married on Nov. 18, 1946 to Arie (Buster) Wright Patrick. Betty came to Wichita in April, 1940, with her grandmother, Lydia Belle Dickinson, and worked at the Allis Hotel as a maid. After leaving the Allis, she worked for the Nomar Grill on 21st Street for 20 years, then for Lawrence and Anita Sanders at the Arnett Motel as a manager for a year then worked at their laundry on Arkansas after they sold the motel and then in their laundry on South Meridian until she retired in 1997. She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Autry Britton, and her parents, brothers Phillip Miller, Charles Milan, Maynard Carton and Dennis Clark and sisters Miriam Ann Milan, Sheila Ann Clark, Inez Joyce Paxton and Laura Belle Miller. Her surviving children are: Martin Beaver Gomisch of Kingston, Georgia, Laura Janie McGraw of Valley Center, and Linda Wright Crouse, and Barbara Jean Flores, both of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7pm on Wed. Jan. 18, 2017. Funeral services will be 10am on Thurs. Jan. 19, 2017 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.
