
Betty (Goodwin) Woodward 90, went to tend God's garden on May 14, 2016. Betty retired from the Personnel Department at Coleman and volunteered at the St. Francis Hospital gift shop. Betty was a vivacious lady whose favorite color was red and loved many activities, including traveling, bowling in her West Acres bowling league, perfecting her immaculate backyard, growing prize tomatoes, and absolutely loved being a mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted A. Goodwin; second husband, John J. Woodward; son, Eddy Goodwin; and granddaughter, Erin Goodwin. Betty is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Dave) Hilger; siblings: Jim (Joanne) Swayze, Eva Rose (George) Newton of Fallbrook, CA, and Ella Mae Miller; and grandchildren: Ariann (Dan) Goebel, Daren (Jenny) Hilger, Larissa (Tim) Kozeny, Devona (Evan) Lies, Michelle (David) LaRoche, Renee (Rex) Reynolds, and Sarah Goodwin; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 10a.m. In memory of Betty, donations may be made to Botanica Gardens or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
