Beverly Ann Warner

Beverly and the family moved to Wichita during World War II as so many families did to work in the aircraft industry. Lasting friendships and bonds were established at that time and endured for 80+ years. The large family was a fun-loving group that enjoyed spending time together, and that quality has been passed to the next generations.

Beverly attended Friends University and obtained a teaching certificate from Wichita University. She enjoyed teaching, particularly the 5th grade, and later was a substitute teacher in Rose Hill Kansas. Beverly was an avid quilter; many family members and friends were recipients of her work. She loved sports, particularly baseball, and attended many events.

She was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always looked for the good in people and was a staunch advocate and supporter of her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Zenas and June Short; husband of 50 years, Henry William Warner Jr.; siblings, Janiece Winton, Norma J. Cochran, Donald E. Short, Jack Short, Georgia Schroeder, Carol Cupp, Jerry Short and granddaughter Rachael Carpenter.

Survived by sister-in-law, Kathy (Dave) Johnson; her children, Kyle (Chezna) Warner, Rebecca (Kenny) Bellew, Ken Warner, and Melisa (Paul Dienstbier) Carpenter; grandchildren, Brad Bellew, Don Carpenter, Hank Warner and Wyatt Warner; great-grandchildren, Camille Carpenter, Amya Carpenter, Taylor Bellew, Brianna Bellew, David Bellew, Lennox Carpenter, Leeah Carpenter, and Lonnie Carpenter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A come and go visitation will be from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, Monday, July 17th, 2023, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N, Wichita, Kansas 67206.

Funeral service for Beverly will be held 10:00AM. Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at Lakeview Funeral Home, with interment following the service at Lakeview Cemetery in the Garden of Meditation.
