

At Girard High School, she was a baton twirling drum majorette marching in front of the school band and a cheerleader. As a junior student, she was crowned "Coal Queen" by the governor of Kansas after competing against numerous other entrants from surrounding counties. She was married to her soulmate, coach Lawrence "Larry" Krehbiel for 54 years until he passed away. They raised a son and daughter. Billie was a devoted wife and mother, and active in her children's schools. Her working years included secretarial duties in Flight Safety at Boeing Aircraft Company, a church secretary, and receptionist in three dental offices.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Elaine (Donald) McFarland.
Billie is survived by her son, Larry Robert Krehbiel of Puyallup, Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Chris (Dr. Keith) Martin of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren, Sherry (Gary) Roberts of Wichita, Kansas, Jason K. Martin of Lenexa, Kansas, and Beth C. Krehbiel of Lacey, Washington; and five great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held with burial at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
Billie's family would like to acknowledge, The Mapleton Assisted Living staff in Andover, Kansas and Compassion Within Hospice of Wichita for their devoted, loving care during her residency and failing health.
