Bobbie O. Campbell, Jr.

Campbell, Bob, age 67, retired City of Wichita Water Maintenance Department employee, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. Bob was born September 6, 1948, in San Antonio, TX, the son of Bobbie O. and Margie (Drake) Campbell. He spent his younger years traveling the world, eventually landing in Wichita in 1975. On November 20, 1992, he married Denise Foster, in Wichita. In August 1993, they were blessed with the birth of their only daughter, Ciara. Bob was an active member of Midian Shrine and Lodge #99, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Glenn Campbell. Survivors include: daughter, Ciara Campbell; grandchildren, Liliana, Fernando, and Isela; son-in-law, Fernando De La Torre, niece, Natasha White, all of Wichita; mother of their daughter, Denise Campbell, Whitewater; close friends, Jerry and wife, Vangie Truex and their daughter, Karissa. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time; funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110.
