Carlotta Gottschalk

Carlotta A. Gottschalk, age 78, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. Carlotta was born on June 10, 1942, on her family farm outside of Liebenthal in Schoenchen, Kansas, the daughter of Wendelin and Monica Matilda (Depperschmidt) Gottschalk. She was the second to the youngest of nine children. She attended her early education in Liebenthal. The family moved to Wichita in the 50's, where her father started working as a janitor at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The children later attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where Carlotta graduated from in 1957. During the 50's, Carlotta met Rex Wisley through her brothers. On September 3, 1960, they married in Wichita, Kansas. They were blessed with four children. Carlotta was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Virgil , Alvin, Melvin, Wayne and Carol Gottschalk; grandson, Cory Lee Hall. Survivors include: children, Wanda and husband, Steve Robertson, Linda Wisley, Larry and wife, Sandi Wisley, Jimmie and wife, CeCe Wisley; siblings, Wilma Baier, Val and wife, Jo Gottschalk, Larry Gottschalk; grandchildren, Kevin and Triniece Robertson, Brandi and husband, Wes Sidebottom, Scott Wisley, Brooke and husband, Greg Murray, Kristy and husband, J.C. Gehling, Brian Hall, Kendra and husband, Rick Stang, Baylee Wisley, Alec Wisley, Lacy and husband, Matthew Lang, Kaytee Wisley; 28.5 great grandchildren; longtime friend, Sheryl Roy. Viewing one hour prior to the rosary, recitation of the rosary 10:00 a.m., funeral mass 10:30 a.m., all Tuesday, December 22, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 S. Pattie Street, Wichita, Kansas. Graveside service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas. Masks will be required.
