

Carol retired after 35 years working as a USD 259 Special Education Paraprofessional. Before working as a SPED para in September 5, 1972, she was part of the beginning of the Rainbow United organization as one of the first (5) faithful parent volunteers. Carol was trained with our volunteers to become some of the first people in the country to help children with severe disabilities. She was actively involved with Starkey, Inc. as a parent volunteer and a member of the Starkey Parent Group for over 25 years. Carol will forever be remembered for her courage, strength, kindness, compassion and outpouring of love to her family, friends and community.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Wallace Redden; her mother, Evelyn (Criswell) Redden; her husband of 55 years, Alan V. Crumrine.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Michele A. Crumrine and Candyce A. (Jonathan) Braaten; her grandsons, Michael Braaten and Matthew Braaten; her son, Douglas V. Crumrine; brothers: Charles (Deb) Redden, Anthony (Deb) Redden, Brent Redden; her sister, Michele (Redden) Wheeler and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Starkey, Inc., 4500 W. Maple St. Wichita, KS 67209 in memory of Carol.
Honoring of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 10:30 AM at 23531 W. 4th St N., Goddard, KS 67052.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 23531 W. Fourth St. N, Goddard, KS 67052.
Carol lived in Wichita, Kansas.
