Carolyn was a devoted mother and wife to an Air Force Captain and remained faithful in her commitment through happiness and hardships.
She moved to many states with two small children and made a home for her family wherever they were. When her husband Walter was diagnosed with Cancer, Carolyn nursed him single-handedly till he was admitted to the hospital in the final days of his life. Carolyn continued to raise their two young children, one who has special needs, until she was moved into an assisted living home and the other until she got married.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Damon and Viola Binkert; beloved husband, Walter R. Edmonds (1977); sister, Mary F. Crosby; and brother-in-law, Darrell Crosby.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Shawna (Muhammad) Khan; granddaughters, Nadia Khan and Zoya Khan; son, Christopher Edmonds; sister, Anita (Patrick) Flannigan; niece, Lynn (Dennis) Mauk; nephew, Craig Crosby; and great-grand nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Carolyn will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, April 8th, with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
Carolyn may have left this world, but the people who knew her, will keep her spirit alive through fond memories, prayer and love.
