Catherine dedicated her professional life to healthcare administration, working as a medical secretary in records and pathology at St. Joseph Hospital and Wichita State University.
A woman of many interests, Catherine enjoyed an active lifestyle in her younger years. She found joy in playing tennis, golf, bowling, and water skiing. She was an avid card player and especially loved playing bridge with friends.
Her deep Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Catherine was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and participated in many activities within the parish community.
She is lovingly remembered by her nephew Craig McGaffin; nieces Joan Miller (Ray), Mary Cassity, Alicia Sanburn and Kathy Landsverk; nephews Tim McGaffin (Kathy), Tom McGaffin (Teri), and Kirk McGaffin (Debbie), Mike Conners and Larry Conners.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Carl Conners and Ray Conners; her sister Josephine McGaffin; her niece Janet Mila; and nephews Chris McGaffin and Doug McGaffin.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at time. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Catherine will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Moline, Kansas on Thursday September 4, 2025.
