Catherine A. Marley

Catherine Ann (Rice) Marley, age 75, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Catherine was born December 26, 1946. She was a devoted teacher and was loved by the staff and students at Wichita Public Schools. She loved going to the lake and fishing. She loved to travel, shop and spending time with her many groups of friends. One of her favorite travel destinations was Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where she and her beloved husband Bob spent many weeks during the year. Catherine was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church in Wichita. Family was everything to Catherine "Gaga" and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren immensely. She never missed a sporting event that her grandchildren were playing and was always there for them with a lesson, game or an article to help them in their lives. She is preceded by her parents Fane and Helen Rice. Catherine is survived by her husband of 40 years Robert "Bob" Marley; sisters Janet (Fred) Stivers and Nancy (Jim) Denney. She is also survived by her son Jeff Nicholas of Garden City, KS; step-son Robert (Margaret) Marley of Rolla, MO; step-daughter Susan (Del) Provo of Augusta, KS; grandchildren Alyssa (A.J.) Mies, Heidi (Clint) Jones, Heather (Joel) Schwaiger, and Clayton (Jenna Harrison) Nicholas; great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Beckett Mies, MaKenna Jones, Oliver and Alexander Schwaiger and Paisley Jo Nicholas as well as her many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held 11am, March 19th, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 525 N Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
