Knowles, Charles Edward “Bud”, 86, retired SWBT, now AT&T, switchman passed away August 6, 2012. Bud was a Navy WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife Sonya R. Finley Knowles; sons, Charles Knowles II of Wichita, Vernie Knowles of May Pearl, TX; daughters, Sonda Lock of Wichita, Linda Taylor of Tulsa, OK, Lucy Mahon of Wichita; brother, John Knowles of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Thursday, August 9 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas.
