I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to know Chris and to be her friend. She was loved by so many people because of her sincere and gentle kindness. She demonstrated great faith in the power of prayer and in the Savior Jesus Christ. She will be truly missed by so many people. My wife, Lisa and I have loved her and send our sincere sympathy to Justin.

Love, Troy Mitchell

Chris was such a genuine and sincere friend to me. I especially grew to love her as we learned, prayed, laughed, and served together in the Young Women organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Spirit “knit our hearts together.” I will look forward to the day when i can see her again in the next life and she can truly understand the feelings of gratitude in my heart for the opportunity to experience our life on earth together. I am sending love and prayers to Justin. I know she loved him so very much. Love, Lisa Mitchell

I have known Sister Gilliam since I was a small child and she was my youth leader at church for several years when I was a teenager. She was always my biggest supporter and taught me, through example, how to be a strong woman. I admired her ability to lead through love and wanted to be like her. She would slip me small notes of encouragement and was always quietly helping me or someone else. I will always cherish our memories together. She will be greatly missed by many.

Chris was a wonderful woman. She always believed in us rowdy boys, even when we didn't give her any reason to. We turned out ok, thanks to the unconditional love of our families and people like Chris.

Thank you Chris, you will be missed. I look forward to seeing you again.
