Claire Marie Denoncourt “Nana”, 80 years old entered into Heaven Friday May 14, 2021. Claire was born in Lawrence Massachusetts on November 5, 1940 to Guy and Eva Cyr. Claire attended St. Theresa’s Grammar School in Methuen Massachusetts from 1948-1956 and attended High School at St. Anne’s in Methuen Massachusetts from 1956-1960.
Nana was employed with Dillard’s in Towne East Square of Wichita Kansas for over 30 years. Nana worked the majority of that time in Estee Lauder Cosmetics and later transitioned into men’s fragrances.
Nana loved spending time with her friends at her home church of St. Vincent DePaul in Andover Kansas and was involved in many activities and helping roles at the church.
Claire was married to Ronald Denoncourt in 1960 until his death in 2000.
There was no happier time for Nana then when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Nana’s friends stretched across the country. From her roots in Massachusetts to her time in California. No matter where Nana was, she always kept up with all of her many friends across the country.
Nana was always on the go. Bowling weekly with her bowling team, shopping and spending time with her kids and grandchildren or flying to Boston to see her family while taking time to relax on the beach.
Nana is survived by her older brother Donald Cyr, son Mark Denoncourt, daughter and son-in-law Collette and Brett Primm, 9 grandchildren Blake Primm, Shelby Marshall, Alexis and Matthew Garza, Kylie and Andrew Corlis, Abigail and Chandler Williamson, Brandon Denoncourt and 7 great grandchildren Addison Brown, Hailey Primm, Harley Marshall, Veronica Garza, Liam Corlis, Lawson Corlis and soon to be here baby Williamson. Nana was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Denoncourt I and her eldest son Ronald Neil Denoncourt II.
Services will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic church May 28th at 10:00 am in the main sanctuary.
Nana will be laid to rest alongside Ronald Denoncourt I and her son Ronald Denoncourt II at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, Wichita Kansas.
There are no words to describe how much Nana’s spunky spirit, Boston accent and her love for everyone around her as well as our love for her will be missed. Nana was and is a special person to all of those that had the good fortune to meet her and spend time getting to know her. Her absence will be felt indefinitely.
