Cleda (Lee) Mae Watts was born in Shelbina, MO, on March 12,1939, and went to be with our Lord on March 18, 2023. She was born to Ernest and Mary Sutton and had two brothers: Butch Kops and Edward Orr; five children; and three step children.
Most of her life was spent in nursing, in Quincy, IL and upon her move to Wichita, KS, she went into aircraft assembly, eventually retiring from Cessna Aircraft. She was very active with her church, family, and friends and she also enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and traveling.
In 2009, she married Wayne Watts and they were happily married until her passing.
She is survived by her husband: Wayne Watts; oldest son: Kaare (Cathy) West of Canton, MO; daughter; Kimberly (Jerry) Bowen of Quincy, IL; son: Kelly (Linda) West of Fayetteville, AR; daughter: Karen (Dwayne) Booth of Toronto, KS; step-children: Wendy (Scott) Falconberg, Jimmie (Donna) Watts, Dawna (Brian) Jones; and brother: Edward Orr.
Cleda is preceded in death by her parents, youngest brother and youngest daughter, Krista Britton, of Urbana IL.
A visitation for Cleda will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., both at Resthaven Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
Serving as casket bearers are: Rev. Roger Ericksten, Steve Corby, John Whistler, Andrew Estoquia, David Drake and Daran Brown.
