America’s Team has lost one of its greatest fans in, Craig Lee Colbert, who passed December 25, 2024, at the age of 53, in Valley Center, Kansas. The son of Gary L. Colbert and Charlotte L. White (Colbert), he was born October 5, 1971, in Newton, Kansas and was proud to be Kimberly’s brother.
He and his sister were constant companions and grew up spending most of their lives in the outskirts of Valley Center, Kansas. Craig graduated from Sedgwick High School and in his younger years, volunteered at St. Joe Hospital in Wichita. Later, you knew where he’d be on Sunday or during Monday Night Football, because he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and there was a place for him to watch every game. He loved country music and WWE, casinos & women. He loved his family and his 3 dogs, Chloe, Bandit and Paisley. He enjoyed watching his great niece, Halee, perform in her music concerts and dance along while watching his great nephew, Truett, and niece play together around the house. He loved being surrounded by his family and dear friends; they meant everything to him.
He had the biggest heart and loved life. Anyone who met Craig grew to fall in love with him. He touched the souls of all he met and in closing, as Craig would say, "Think of Me!"
He is survived by his sister, Kimberly Moss; brother-in-law, Kenneth Blackburn; niece, Kaylee Moss; nephew, Kameron Moss; niece- in-law, Amy Baron; great niece, Halee Baron; great nephew, Truett Michael Ray Moss; and his precious fur babies, Chloe, Bandit, and Paisley.
He is predeceased by his parents, Gary and Charlotte Colbert.
Honorary Casket Bearers: Kameron Moss, Kaylee Moss, Keith Moss, Kenneth Blackburn, DJ Bosken, Frank Towett, and Jeff Bosch.
