Darlene Armstrong, age 75, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2019. Darlene was born June 15, 1943. She attended Wichita High School West and then married her high school sweetheart, Joe Armstrong. She worked for the Bank of Mid-America, first as a Teller then as a Branch Manager and then moved on to become a Loan Officer. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being clean and sober for nearly 32 years. She even became an AA facilitator to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Juanita Harr; and her husband, Joe Armstrong.
Darlene is survived by her older brother, Alvin Harr, and her only daughter, Sherri (David) Moreno.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to LifeLine Animal Placement (LAPP), which is a no kill animal shelter.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 1:00pm with a visitation 1-hour prior, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
