Dave Brister, 51, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving sister, Jo Ann, and best friend, Lori Clem. He was born November 30, 1972 in Niles, Michigan, the son of Floyd Laranz and Anna Louise (Nichols) Brister.
Dave was a student at Rae Woodman Elementary School, Mayberry Middle School, then was a graduate of Wichita West High School, Class of 1993. Dave was baptized at Word of Life Church in Wichita by Pastor Cliff Snell on September 16, 2011, which he was very grateful for.
Dave was an avid music lover and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; along with his older brother, Floyd Loranze Brister, Jr.
He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Wheeler and Jo Ann Ramsey; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. There will be a small catered reception following the service at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Spina Bifida Association, 1600 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 800, Arlington, Virginia 22209.
