Delfina "Della" (Luna) Rangel

Delfina "Della" (Luna) Rangel, 98, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Della was born the daughter of Carmen (Acevedo) and Melecio Luna on December 18, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas. Della and Martin Rangel were united in marriage on October 14, 1940, he passed away in 1998. Della was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She treasured her family dearly. Those who knew Della knew of her fiery spirit and strong willed personality. She was a devout Catholic and stayed very dedicated to her faith. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery and ceramics in her active years. In her active years she would always prepare meals for family and was a great cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons; Martin Rangel, Jr., James Rangel, Sr., siblings; Teresa, Felice, Lupe, Jovita, Pomposa and Alfonso Luna. Survivors include her children; Christina Bais, Thomas Rangel, Patrick (Tina) Rangel, sister; Esperanza "Hope" Lopez, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 a.m., both at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 S. Pattie St., Wichita, Kansas. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 610 S. Vassar St., Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Serenity Hospice Care, 3221 N.
