She was born on May 23, 1929, to Bunie and Gladis (Percifield) Kessinger in Wichita, Kansas.
Delores loved music and entertained from an early age throughout Kansas. She worked at St. Francis Medical Center as a surgical technician. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 25 years, where she taught sunday school and choir. She also was a professional singer where she performed at many events throughout Wichita. Delores loved to cook, especially baking cookies. She was also a cat lover. Delores enjoyed spending time with her son Gregory, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jo Lynn Weesner (Loucks) and her husband of 65 years, Jacob Loucks.
She is survived by her son, Gregory (Ofelia) Loucks; three grandchildren: Gena (Gregory) Carron, Melissa (Ricardo) Gamboa, and Crystal (Devin) Ball; and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Delores will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a committal service to follow both at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
