Just learned that Dennis passed away today when I saw Hope at Council Grove.  Dennis was a good friend growing up in Alta Vista.  Please accept my condolences.

Darleen, You don't know me but I just wanted to say how sorry I am about Jake. I had not seen him for many many years but he was my best friend growing up in Alta Vista. We bought two ukelaele's when Jake was about a freshman in High School. He took off on  that and never looked back. I am stll working on the 2nd chord. He was smart and funny and I learned a lot from him. He was just 29 days younger than me. We had so much fun. I am so sorry I never got around to looking him up these last few years...Roger Matthews.

May God comfort you as He only can. We will miss his laugh , smile and bear hugs.I  will remember our visits at Grandma & Grandpa Joy's farm.May God bless you and hug you from our family.

Dennis was our next-door neighbor many years ago. We enjoyed our times together and loved to hear him play his guitar. He was a gentle man with a tender heart; when our first child was born, he said she was the first baby he had ever held in his arms. We are sad that our lives have been separated by distance for more than 25 years.  May God's peace and comfort be with all who mourn his passing.
