Diem Luu was a devoted husband, supportive father, caring grandfather, and an overall righteous person. While he loved the quiet peace of casting a line into the water, his absolute greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He lived for family dinners, backyard barbecues, and the chaotic joy of having his grandchildren running around the house. He loved his family very much. He has touched many lives and will be missed by many.
Predeceased by his parents, Diem’s memory will be kept alive by his family including his wife, Loan Thi Tran; son, Thuy Van Luu and wife Trinh; son, Truong (Bob) Van Luu and wife Ha; son, Trung Van Luu and wife Huong; son, Tam Van Luu and wife Be (Elizabeth); daughter, Ha (Candy) Thi Luu and husband Danh; daughter, Mary Thi Luu and husband Quang (Thomas); and grandchildren, Kevin, Thao My, Andy, Tommy, Jimmy, Alex, Oliver, Mia, Brayden, Ashley, Aubrey, Annabelle, Thomas, Jonathan, Aidan, and Ariana.
Visitation and Prayer of the Holy Rosary will be held at Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 South Hydraulic, Wichita, KS 67211, on August 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on August 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 258 N Ohio Ave, Wichita, KS 67214, US, on August 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a burial and final resting place at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67212, US, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
