

Anderson, Donald W., 94, passed through death to eternal life on April 22, 2017. Don was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Oscar and Mildred. He served in the U.S. Army in Italy with the 3133rd Signal Service Company, a Sonic Deception Unit (part of the Ghost Army). Don graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and was a licensed professional engineer in the state of Kansas. He spent most of his career with Beech Aircraft, later Raytheon, where he retired as Chief of Electronics Technology in 1987 after almost 30 years. He enjoyed ham radio, stamp and coin collecting. Don and Patricia were married in 1944 and had 72 years together. Together they were longtime members of Reformation Lutheran Church. Don is preceded in death by his parents and sister Janet. He is survived by his wife, children Bruce, Timothy (Sharon), Janis (Tom) Paxson, Jill Brumbaugh, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church on Thursday, Apr. 27, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service, same location, Friday, Apr. 28 at 11am, with luncheon following in the parish hall. Interment service, with military honors, will be at Lakeview following lunch. Memorials can be made to the church.
