He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Bennie Ruth Taylor on April 29, 1937.
Donald attended L’Ouverture elementary school, Horace Mann Middle School, Wichita North High School and graduated from Omaha Tech School in Nebraska. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid pitcher before graduating. Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked in Electronics and Logistics. Following his return to Wichita, KS, he worked at Boeing Aircraft Company for 20 years as an Aircraft Repair Planner.
Donald Brown and Barbara Johnson joined hands in Holy matrimony in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26,1996. The couple later retired in Wichita, Kansas where they traveled extensively. Donald adored sitting on his porch and overseeing the neighborhood. As “Guardian” of the neighborhood he was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in need and never said no. He enjoyed an occasional outing at Texas Roadhouse where medium rare steak and strawberry margaritas were preferred. In Addition, Thanksgiving and Christmas were his favorite times of the year since he cherished his wife’s “Authentic” cooking. Donald will be greatly missed by his immediate family, friends and esteemed neighbors.
