

Donald Lewis Burrell, 86, passed away and joined our “Heavenly Father in Heaven”, on April 4, 2017. Don was born to Leslie and Ruth Burrell on Aug. 31, 1930. He was one of three children with his brother, Gary and sister, Delores. Mary, Ruth, Delores and Leslie have preceded him in death. Don attended and graduated from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. It was there he met Mary Nott and they later were married in Oregon. Don became a youth pastor at First Church of God in Wichita, KS. He was a servant of the Lord. Years later he became a part owner in Radionic Hearing. Don loved to hike and fish. He loved the outdoors and loved being at their cabin in Platoro, CO. He was a great handball player and a champion many times over. Don was married to Mary Burrell for 65 years. They have 3 children, Christina, Tim and Tom. They have 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dad you are free of pain and there is no more suffering. You are with God and Mary now. God Bless you Dad we love you. You are gone but never forgotten. The funeral service is at Central Community church, 6100 W. Maple St. in Wichita, KS on Tuesday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. and a interment is at Old Mission Cemetery, 21st and Hillside following the service. Visitation is Monday evening April 10 at 12-8p.m. with his family present from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.
