Don passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 74 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born to Pete and Gladis (Strayer) Collins on October 27, 1951, in Hutchinson, Kansas. His siblings include, Steve, Jessie, Rick, Joe, Billy, Ronnie, Ting, Creckit, Larry and Katie.
Don worked for Joe’s Car Wash for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jessie, Creckit; brother, Rick; children, Tommy, Lena, Ray and Donna. He is survived by his children, Donald Collins Jr. (Shelly), Patricia Tracy (Scott), Dorothy Spencer Collins (Dustin); grandchildren, Skyler, Krista, Alisha, Derek, Allen, Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved animals, Jack and Fransis.
Don was loving, outgoing and he loved his job and his family more than anything.
