

70, passed away March 24, 2017. Donald was a US Army Veteran, senior Planner for Wichita for 23 years and Derby for 10 years. He was Senior Class President and a photographer in high school, as well as first chair bass in the concert orchestra, and recipient of many achievement awards. He graduated from the University of Illinois with honors and distinction in Geography, received his Masters in Geography from Miami University of Oxford Ohio, and spent 3 years doing post graduate work at Ohio State, and was a member of the National Honors Society. He enjoyed biking, skiing, figure skating, and traveling as well as stained glass work, oil painting, fishing, and carpentry. He is preceded in death by son, David Brian Losew, parents, Walter and Anna, and brother Ronald Losew. Donald is survived by high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Carol; son, Steven (Ellen) Michael Losew; brother-in-law, John (Maria) Patzka of Brownsville, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Losew of Willow Springs, Illinois; grandchildren, Jace, Jack, Joscelyn, and Jessa Losew; as well as nieces and nephews in the Chicago area, church family and friends. Donald was a loving husband, caring father, and beloved grandfather who will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Tuesday March 28, 2017 with family receiving from 5-7 pm. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am at Resthaven Gardens of Memory with a memorial service following at 11:00 at Northridge Friends Church.
