Donnie Byron Clark, 81, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on July 31st, 2020. He was born in Corso, Missouri on August 17th, 1938 to parents Virgil Pleasant and Mary Iola Clark. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955, serving as an Ammunition Foreman in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Technical Sergeant in 1975. He loved fishing, watching birds, watching the History and Military Channels. Most of all he loved his church and was faithful to attend until his health prevented it. Donnie is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Virgil Pleasant and Mary Iola Clark; brother, Buell Fredrick Clark; sisters Alta Mae Trower-Jones, Anna Belle Clark; brothers-in-law Robert Trower, Marvin Jones, and Eugene Syler; sisters-in-law Alma Clark, Betty Clark, and Loretta Clark. He is survived by his brother Virgil H. Clark of Pekin, Illinois; his sisters Charlene Krigbaum (Cecil) and Lorene Syler, both of Vandalia, Missouri; his son Dennis Clark (Debbie Kay) of Wichita; his daughters Kelly Polk (Jay) of Orlando, Florida, and Jennifer Kristen Hall (Vernon) of Wichita Falls, Texas; his good friend Kathy Shean of Mulvane, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Public viewing will be at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West, US-54, Wichita, Kansas on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 from 1 – 5 PM. Funeral service will be at South Riverside Baptist Church, 4235 South Hydraulic, Wichita, Kansas on Wednesday, August 5th at 3PM with interment at Resthaven Cemetery to follow.
