He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Dell; daughter-in-law Linda Freed; grandson Jed Freed; parents Byron and Leone Eaton; brothers Donis, Bud, and Wayne.
He is survived by his daughter Doyleen (Steve) Miller of Severance, CO; sons David Eaton of Massanutten, VA; Tom (Phyliss) Freed of Sandy, UT; Gary (Judy) Freed of Wichita, KS; Duane Freed of Valley Center, KS; Mike (Jane) Freed of Wichita, KS; 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, February 3rd, at the First United Methodist Church Valley Center. Visitation is from 10:00-10:45am preceding the funeral. Graveside service following the funeral will be held at the Valley Center City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wichita Independents Special Olympics to the Doyle Eaton/Jed Freed Fund, 1414 N. Doris Cr., Wichita, Kansas 67212.
During the past few years Doyle and Lora Dell received loving care at two facilities. The family thanks the staff at Ascension Living Via Christi Village and Chisholm Place for their patience and dedication.
