When Duane was 2, his family moved to Wichita where he has lived ever since. In his early adult years, he worked for 4 years as a bar manager at "The Club House" on South Broadway and as a bartender at "Snug Harbor" for 2 years. Duane owned and operated 3-D Audio and also partnered with his buddy, "Smokin' Joe", in a DJ and Karaoke business throughout the early 2000's.
The majority of his professional career he worked as a car alarm and remote start installer for A-Z Window Tinting, retiring after 20 years. Duane had a love for anything cars or bikes and throughout his life he dabbled as an auto body mechanic and garage mechanic.
He was past president of Extreme Low Frequency Car Club.
Duane was an avid biker in the Wichita motorcycle community and spent his freetime on the open road with his wife, brothers and friends. He also enjoyed participating many bike runs, including the Wichita Toy Run every year.
In his later years, Duane enjoyed leather making, jewelry making, and cosplay as a hobby later in life. He enjoyed the "Therapy" of the casino.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Davis; his brother from another mother, Ron Lundry; and a multitude of fur babies.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Davis, of the home; Katarina Pound, Udall, KS, Dylan and wife, Shalon Davis, Tampa, KS, Angel Davis and fiance, Carl Goatee, Udall, KS, Michelle Davis, of the home; grandchildren, Rylei Ball, Kaelynn Pound, Dayne Davis, Sophia Glenn, Summer Davis, Emma Chrisman, Junior Davis, Maria Chrisman, and soon to be born, Kiefer Davis; bonus children, Jacob Kating, Leah Hanks, Jaeden Bastion, Benford Diehl, Anthony Davis; siblings, Ron and wife, Wendy Davis, Scott Davis, Jason Davis, and Brian Davis; brothers from another mother, Dave "Roach" and wife, Jennifer Oates, Joe "Smokin' Joe" and wife, Amanda Wike, Jamie Hayden; brother-in-law, Dickie and wife, Julie Waggoner; sister-in-law, Crystal Powers; mother-in-law, Beverly Eastridge; dogs, Killian Jones, Luna Lucille, and Boy; cat, Princess; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with visitation with family present from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 South Hydraulic, Wichita.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:00 am and a Memorial Mass 10:30 am, on Wednesday, September 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 132 South Millwood Avenue, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Wichita Toy Run, P.O. Box 782493, Wichita, Kansas 67278.
