Duane is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois; children, Melinda and Scott; grandchildren, Annie, Joe, Cody (Emma), Nick, and Leah; great-grandson, Jack; and brother, Darrell. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond.
He is a Veteran of the US Air Force and spent the majority of his career in aircraft manufacturing, retiring from Boeing with over 30 years of service.
Duane loved to fish, hunt, and use his metal detector to find jewelry and coins. He liked to be outside working on his yard, which was a great source of pride. He was a fan of sports and was often watching KU or UT games. In his later years, he enjoyed going to the casino.
Duane lived a long, full, happy life. His family was his priority and the grandkids were the light of his life. He was the best Papa anyone could ask for. His heart was always kind and his spirit good.
There will be no services at his request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to Phoenix Hospice.
