Born on March 7, 1944, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Earleen was the beloved daughter of Earl Lonzo McGuire and Geneva May Bates McGuire. Earleen was a radiant soul—beautiful inside and out—whose life was defined by selflessness and a servant's heart. To her family, she was the heart and the anchor: a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She cheered the loudest, listened the longest, and loved the deepest.
She lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and deep love, with her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ at the very center of who she was. Not loud or imposing, her faith was gentle and steady—her rock and foundation—guiding her actions and shaping the way she loved others. A true prayer warrior, she faced life’s storms with steadfast belief and bold prayers, walking humbly while reflecting God’s light and mercy in all she did. She was a devoted member of Lighthouse Church in Prosper, Texas, where she worshipped, fellowshipped, and served with joy. Her legacy is one of grace, compassion, resilience, and a heart that gave so freely.
Throughout her life, Earleen held several jobs and embraced each one with dedication and a desire to be challenged. While she did not pursue a single career path, she found great joy in having a purpose and faithfully committed her work to the Lord. She especially treasured the lifelong friendships she formed along the way. She was loved by everyone.
Earleen found great joy in being creative…either with her hands or with her words. She loved crafting, sewing blankets, and writing poems for friends and family. She was also an avid weather watcher, often keeping a close eye on the skies and making sure loved ones were prepared for any approaching storms—no matter where they lived.
Above all, Earleen’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth and genuine care always made each one of us feel seen, valued, special, and loved. Her words of encouragement pointed us back to faith, gave us strength in difficult times, and reminded us of God’s constant presence.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris McGuire; her brother, Mick McGuire; her first husband and father of their children, Michael Cain; and second husband, Clark Engle.
She is survived by her brother, Bill McGuire (Patsy); sisters, Raye Southern (Terry) and Sue Webb; her children, Scott Cain (Julie) and Kimberli; stepchildren, Kerry Littleton and Brad Engle. Her grandchildren include Lauren Konrade, Evan Cain (Rachel), Brady Newman, Kynzie Story (Ian), Colton Shurtz (Sarah), and Michael Littleton Jr. (Alexis). Her great-grandchildren include Maddox and Abel; Tahli and Ava; Shepherd and Shiloh; Emmett; Esme’ and Aria, and many nieces and nephews. All will continue to grow up with her stories in their hearts and her imprint on their lives.
To know Earleen was to be inspired by goodness. Her impact was immeasurable, and the ripple of her love will echo for generations to come.
