Edwin and Marjorie Klag

Klag, Marjorie M., 99, of Wichita, Kansas passed away surrounded by her family on Sat. Aug. 20, 2016 in Wichita. Marjorie was born on April 4, 1917 in Stockport, Ohio the daughter of Lawrence and Edna McDermott. Marjorie and Edwin Klag were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio. They celebrated 74 years of marriage. She graduated The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Marjorie taught at the Institute of Logopedics (currently Heartspring) in Wichita during the 1950’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Edwin Klag, siblings, Thomas McDermott and Robert McDermott. Survivors include her loving children, Nancy (Trip) Shawver, Kathy (James) Haymaker, Thomas (Anita) Klag, John (Kathy) Klag, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joint memorial services for Marjorie and Edwin will be 3pm on Friday Sept. 16, 2016 at Larksfield Place, 7373 E. 29th St. N., Wichita. The Klag family would like to thank all the employees at Larksfield Independent Living and the Healthcare Facility for the care provided to their parents.
