Elmer F. Wortman, 89, retired flight electrician from Beechcraft, passed away January 1, 2016. He was a founding member of Bethany Lutheran Church, past commander at VFW Post 3115, and lifetime member of American Legion Post 256. He was preceded by spouse, Edna Wortman; son, Glenn Wortman; daughters, Deborah Ungerer and Loretta Jolly; parents; seven brothers and one sister. Elmer is survived by wife, Evelyn Wortman; son, Sonny (Kathy) Tanner; daughter, Betty George; sister, Mildred Kruse; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 W 26th St S., Wichita, KS. 67217.
