

Elva D. Richardson was born in Nashville, Kansas on November 22, 1922 to Karl and Dora Heuer. Our beloved Mother and Grandmother entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, October 16 2014 at the age of 91. She was raised in Nashville, Kansas and went on to attend college at Kansas University. Elva spent most of her life in Wichita. She was employed as a bookkeeper, was an avid crafter, and an expert crocheter. Elva was a devoted Christian attending Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and sat with the children in the nursery. She was also a member of ABWA and served as president. Elva is survived by daughters, Kathy Sisk and Susan (Phil) Bacon; Grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Bacon, Dustin Bacon, Ky (Jo) Sisk, Katy Sisk, Zachary Sisk, Michael Richardson and Jeffery Richardson; Great-grandsons Vincent Bacon and Asa Sisk; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Julie Richardson; son, Jay Richardson; brothers, Karl, Emil, Harlan, and Eugene Heuer and sister, Lucille Knight. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 20, Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Geoffrey Boyle presiding. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville Kansas. Visitation 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday with family present at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside.
