Elwood "Woody" Jerard Quick

Woody was born on March 2, 1931, to John and Jewell Quick. On March 26, 1951, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Colene, and together they raised three children: Dana, Daniel, and Dina. Woody proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he went on to become the founder and CEO of Commercial Distributors, a business he led with dedication and pride.

Woody had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also a devoted member of Evangel Assembly of God in Wichita, Kansas, where his faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Bonnie Colene Quick; his children, Dana (Robert) Sawicki, Daniel (Kristi) Quick, and Dina Quick; his grandchildren, Daniel (Jana) Sawicki, Marcus Sawicki, Crystal (Colton) Gould, Averi Quick, and Kaitlin Quick; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Sawicki, Rome Sawicki, Aidan Bushman, and Avery Bushman.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jewell; his brothers, Olin Quick, Winford Quick, and Jerald Quick; and his sister, Freeda Duggins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evangel Assembly of God, 11444 W. 21st St., Wichita, KS 67205, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd., Springfield, MO 65804.
